Covered horse walkers

The 1 month / 1 product section
The daily morning ballet of ration distribution, stall cleaning, take horses out... Mornings at the stables can be a real race against the clock for your whole team. So how can you optimise your time while ensuring quality work for your horses?
Ideal for stables with a lot of horses, the walker is the complementary tool that will allow you to save time on a daily basis. It allows you to walk 3 to 10 horses at the same time, providing a pre-warm-up before an outing and contributing to the recovery after a work session.
A horse walker is a circular space surrounded by two fences. They form a corridor in which the horses walk. A Lenze engine is placed in the centre of the walker, with arms and partitions to define a precise space between the horses. The walker has a roof, which makes it easy to work in dry conditions all year round.
Le marcheur : un outil complémentaire pour optimiser le temps de travail
The walker: a complementary tool to optimise working time
The walker is particularly ideal for horses in boxes. It allows you to gradually warm up the muscles, joints and especially the back before working in the arena, on the track or even before a trip to the paddock that is a little too expressive and could cause an injury to cold muscles.
After an effort, walking thanks to this installation will allow your horses to relax the whole body in order to eliminate lactic acid and venous return, just like the professional cyclists do after running the Tour de France...
Be careful, however, the walker should not be a shortcut to taking your horses out. It can never be the only daily outing, as the horse cannot expend enough energy.
A session in a walker lasts between 15 and 20 minutes maximum to avoid tiring the joints of the limbs. This allows you to take a group of horses out and continue with another task in the stables. The work is further optimised by the walker's programmer, which allows you to work with both hands. A timer automatically switches direction to ensure balanced work on the body.
Une gamme complète de marcheurs pour vous aider au quotidien
Hippocenter offers you a complete range of covered walkers to work in all weathers. The roofing provides a major advantage in winter, as it prevents your horses from walking in the mud.
Our Professional walker is the most appreciated by trainers because of its ease of installation. Indeed, its galvanised steel structure can be dismantled and moved, so depending on your location, you won't necessarily need a building permit. As for the protection of the track, the roof of the Professional walker is made of high resistance plastic sheeting.
Furthermore, this model is the most flexible in our range. You can choose a steel or stabipol sheet roof, or opt for a wooden or PVC resin fence with the Pro+ model.
This wooden version brings a warmth to your stable. Built in autoclave-treated solid wood, the Comfort walker has a 5-metre stabipol roof with IPN beams, a galvanised steel structure and Grand-Prix fencing.
The top of the range version of our walkers, the Prestige model has a reinforced stabipol roof, a Luxe round fence and a choice of sliding or swinging gate. You can also choose to add a covered entrance for added comfort and aesthetics to your stable.
This model offers you a corrugated stabipol roof and a galvanised steel structure. You are free to choose the fence to close your walker from our catalogue.
Additional options for more comfort:
- Windbreak nets to further insulate the arena and horses from the weather
- Ground closures to retain sand on the track
- Floor and mechanism options
The horse walker is a real work tool. Equipping your stable with this equipment will save you precious time on a daily basis as you will be able to take several horses out at once, whether for warm-ups, trotting or recovery.
